1. Acceptance of terms
By installing or using the CartChkr Chrome extension or visiting cartchkr.com.au ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please uninstall the extension and don't use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
2. What CartChkr is
CartChkr is a browser extension that reads your grocery cart on Woolworths Online (woolworths.com.au) and Coles Online (coles.com.au) and compares prices between the two stores. The paid "Move" feature lets you transfer your cart from one store to the other in one click.
CartChkr is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Woolworths Group Limited or Coles Group Limited in any way.
3. Free and paid tiers
CartChkr offers the following access tiers:
- Free — Scan both stores and view the price comparison. Always free.
- Founding Member (99¢ one-time) — Full access including the Move feature. Limited-time offer for early adopters.
- Lifetime ($3.99 one-time) — Full access forever, no recurring charges.
- Monthly ($2.99/month) — Full access with early access to new store integrations as they're added. Cancel anytime.
Payments are processed by Stripe via ExtensionPay. By purchasing, you agree to their respective terms of service.
4. Refund policy
Given the low price point, all sales are generally final. However, if CartChkr has a significant bug that prevents it from functioning and we are unable to fix it within 14 days of your report, we will issue a full refund on request. Email support@cartchkr.com.au.
Monthly subscribers can cancel at any time via the extension's account menu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — there are no partial refunds for unused time on a monthly subscription.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use CartChkr only for its intended purpose: comparing grocery prices for your own personal shopping. You must not:
- Use CartChkr to scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect data from Woolworths or Coles in a way that could harm or overload their systems.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify CartChkr's code without our written permission.
- Share, sell, or transfer your paid licence to another person.
- Use CartChkr for any commercial or automated purpose beyond personal grocery shopping.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
CartChkr is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will continue to work if Woolworths or Coles change their websites.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, CartChkr and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including any loss arising from reliance on price comparisons shown by the extension. Our total liability for any claim related to CartChkr shall not exceed the amount you paid for your licence (if any).
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract.
8. Third-party services and websites
CartChkr interacts with Woolworths Online and Coles Online as part of its core function. Your use of those websites is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. CartChkr is not responsible for those services, their uptime, or any changes they make that affect CartChkr's functionality.
9. Intellectual property
The CartChkr name, logo, extension code, and website content are owned by CartChkr and protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark law. "Woolworths" and "Coles" are trademarks of their respective owners. CartChkr does not claim any affiliation with or rights to those trademarks.
10. Service availability and changes
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will provide at least 30 days notice and offer a pro-rata refund for affected paid users. We may also update these Terms of Service — we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on cartchkr.com.au.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
